Computer Controlled - Heat Transfer In Agitated VesseL manufacturer in india

MODAL NO: MTHT-105/CC

QTY

Present set-up is computer controlled with data logging facility. When the equipment is interfaced to computer, the end user has an access of every input and output of the setup and can log data of experiments. In most industrial processes including reactors, heat is to be added or extracted to control the process. The addition and removal of heat is done by passing steam or water in a jacket fitted to the outside of the vessel or passing steam or cold water in helical coil inside the vessel.

For effective heat transfer and even distribution of heat, the liquid inside is continuously agitated. The present set-up offers us a comparative study of Jacket & Helical coil, which can be operated simultaneously. It is a stainless steel jacketed vessel with helical coil of copper is fitted inside. A variable speed stirrer is fitted in the vessel. Variation in temperature of inside water is measured and is noted. Jacketed vessel is fitted with condensatecollection measuring system. Flow rate of water can be controlled and measured using valve and flowmeter. Water to be supplied by laboratory overhead tank atconstant head condition by end user. Temperature ofinlet and outlet of both hot & cold fluids are measured by temperature sensors. It has an interfacing unit designed by Engineers along with Labview software. This educational software allows/enables user to log the real time experimental data and tabulate the experimental/sample reading according to the requirement of experiment. User have a control on data logging, printing the stored data and preparing spread sheets in Excel. Flexible graph plotting facility is also available in the software.

•An ENGLISH instruction manual consisting of experimental procedures, block diagram etc. will be provided along with the Apparatus.

•The whole set-up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PU Paint.

Experimentation/Learning Objectives

•To determine the overall heat transfer co-efficient for various degree of agitation.

•To make a comparative study of Heat Transfer through Jacket & Coil in an agitated vessel.
