Model Number: MT-E442A
The 8086 Microprocessor Trainer (LCD) is a complete educational development platform designed for learning 8086 microprocessor programming, interfacing, and hardware applications using an LCD display. Manufactured by Micro Technologies, it integrates memory, communication, timer/counter, keyboard, and debugging features in a professional laboratory trainer.
Product Specification
The 8086 Microprocessor Trainer (LCD) is a comprehensive laboratory development system designed for studying 8086 microprocessor architecture, assembly language programming, and hardware interfacing. Manufactured by Micro Technologies, the trainer provides students with practical experience in software development, industrial process control, and embedded system applications using a powerful and easy-to-use training platform.
Built around the Intel 8086/8088 microprocessor operating at 2.5 MHz / 5 MHz, the trainer incorporates a powerful monitor program stored in onboard EPROM, enabling users to write, edit, execute, debug, and analyze assembly language programs efficiently. It is ideally suited for engineering colleges, universities, polytechnic institutes, technical training centres, and research laboratories.
The trainer includes 16 KB battery-backed RAM and 16 KB monitor EPROM for reliable program storage and execution. A complete peripheral interface system integrates 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface, 8253 Timer/Counter, 8259 Interrupt Controller, and 8251 RS232 Serial Communication Controller, allowing a wide variety of hardware interfacing and industrial control experiments.
A 20 × 2 alphanumeric LCD provides clear program output and system information. Program entry is performed using a 101-key ASCII keyboard, making software development faster and more convenient than conventional hexadecimal keypads.
The onboard monitor software supports advanced debugging operations including single-step execution, breakpoints, full program execution, memory examination, register examination, uploading and downloading programs between the trainer and a PC.
All address, data, and control signals are available through the KXT Bus 50-pin FRC connector, enabling easy interfacing with external hardware modules. The trainer is housed in an attractive Australian pine wood or ABS cabinet and includes a built-in regulated DC power supply for dependable laboratory operation.
