8085 Microprocessor Trainer (LCD)
Model Number: MT-E441A
The 8085 Microprocessor Trainer (LCD) is a comprehensive educational development platform designed for learning 8085 microprocessor programming, interfacing, and hardware design using an LCD display. Manufactured by Micro Technologies, it combines memory, communication, timer/counter, and debugging facilities in a professional laboratory trainer.
Product Specification
The 8085 Microprocessor Trainer (LCD) is a professional laboratory development system designed to provide practical understanding of 8085 microprocessor architecture, programming, and interfacing techniques. Manufactured by Micro Technologies, the trainer enables students to develop, test, and execute microprocessor-based applications while gaining hands-on experience in hardware and software integration.
Built around the 8085 CPU operating at 6.144 MHz, the trainer incorporates a powerful monitor program stored in 32 KB EPROM, enabling efficient program development, execution, and debugging. It is ideally suited for engineering colleges, universities, polytechnic institutes, technical training centres, and electronics laboratories.
The trainer features 8 KB battery-backed RAM using the 6264 IC, with memory expansion capability up to 56 KB through the onboard memory expansion circuit. A three-channel programmable timer/counter (8253) supports timing and counter applications, while 24 programmable input/output lines are provided through the 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface.
Communication is supported through an onboard RS232 serial interface, allowing program transfer and serial communication experiments. The system offers multiple operating modes including Hex Keypad Mode, Serial Mode, and Monitor Mode.
A 20 × 2 LCD display provides clear visualization of program outputs and system information. Program entry is performed through a 28-key hexadecimal keyboard using the 8279 Keyboard/Display Controller, while powerful monitor commands support single-step execution, breakpoints, memory examination, register examination, program uploading and downloading between the trainer and a PC.
All address, data, and control bus signals are available through NXT Bus 50-pin FRC connectors, making external hardware interfacing simple and convenient. The trainer is enclosed in an attractive wooden or ABS enclosure and includes a built-in DC power supply for reliable laboratory operation.
