The UL 94 Horizontal & Vertical Flammability Tester from Micro Technologies is designed for controlled laboratory evaluation of the burning characteristics of plastic, polymeric and insulating materials. The apparatus provides a dedicated test chamber in which specimens can be subjected to a controlled flame under specified horizontal or vertical mounting conditions.

The system supports both horizontal and vertical flammability testing, enabling laboratories to evaluate material response under different specimen orientations. Depending on the applicable test procedure, observations can be made regarding burning rate, flame propagation, afterflame time, afterglow behaviour and whether combustion reaches specified reference positions.
